The Palais Theatre operates a small retail outlet in the front of the building: the Collective.  The Collective is run by volunteers, and is open 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 3pm) from October 2023 until May 2024.  The Collective sells fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables in season, eggs, plus a variety of locally produced food products (eg honey, jams, chutneys, biscuits).  We also support local arts and crafts suppliers by selling their unique products - woodwork, greeting cards, photos, paintings, books, pottery, hats, scarves, jewellery etc.

The Palais Theatre is also open for viewing during Collective hours.

The last day for the Collectivebefore the winter break will be Sunday 26 may 2024 to coincide with the end of the current market season.

Palais Theatre - Franklin Market operates on the 4th Sunday of every month, from 10am to 2pm with the last market for the season on Sunday 26 May 2024.

The Palais Theatre - Franklin Market is principally for the producers and crafters, large or small, of the Huon Valley and surrounding areas. The Market provides an opportunity to showcase and sell fresh, locally grown produce, value-added food, and arts and crafts direct to the public. It is the intention that preference and priority for stallholders is given to those who sell local fresh seasonal produce as well as value added products from the Huon Valley. The Market is run to promote public interest and use of The Palais Theatre; to benefit the Huon Valley community; and to provide a friendly meeting place along with great food, entertainment and a variety of stalls to cater for all interests.
