Huon Valley Harvest Festival – Franklin

Saturday 1st April 6-10pm Huon Valley Harvest Festival is coming to The Franklin Palais brought to you by the Huon Valley Food Hub & Huon Valley Council!

Within the grand Palais Theatre Hall there will be a long table feast from 6-730pm cooked by local home cooks from different traditions using produce from Franklin farmers! The local cooks will demonstrate how to cook the meals served so you can easily replicate these delicious, low cost, locally grown and sustainable meals.

The Cooks – Naomie Clark-Port of Frank’s Cider, Kelly Walker & Yorka Burgos.

The Produce – Frank’s (Franklin), Sparrow Foot Farm (Franklin) & Our Mates Farm (Geeveston).

One of the dishes will feature fresh passata made at Franklin Primary School 1pm – 5pm after the Primary School Garden Blitz 9am – 12pm.

A great opportunity for the community to come together over a shared table and learn new recipes using local produce!

Remember the harvest dance balls that used to be part of the Franklin Harvest Festival?
Well… we’re bringing back the Franklin’s Harvest Ball with a barn dance with Dave Elliston and the Wallaby Track Bush Band at the Palais! 8-10pm.
